2010 Xtreme Off-Road Racing™ Season Entry
Competitors that are running for season points will pay $300.00 for XORRA series membership. Included in this fee is the issuing of competitor numbers. Membership also shows the competitors status with the XORRA,(for possible vendor discounts and contingency tracking) and towards the overall series winner.
Event entry will be $200.00 per event if prepaid 2 weeks before event date. If not prepaid 2 weeks before, than payment of $250.00 in form of cash will be required at Tech.
Single event runners will have a number issued to them by the XORRA. $300.00 per event if prepaid, otherwise $350.00 cash/check at Tech. Single Event competitiors must also have Event Membership $50.00 Additional per event.
XORRA – Xtreme Off-Road Racing™ 2010 Series Update
The race and membership format for 2010 will be as follows:
Events willl be 2 days, 2 seperate races over the weekend in the eastern and western United States. This means that Saturday will be a full race day with an event winner and then Sunday will be the second full race day with another chance for a win. There will be a total of 8 series races and a season final.
Race day format will see considerable changes from past events. This will be determined by course layout and terrain mix. Expect to see the romoval of the traditional center banner. More updates on race day format to follow shortly.
A fire from a race vehicle will be grounds for DQ from stages or event.
Team number can be NO less than 6” in height. Numbers must be present on no less than (2) sides of the race vehicle. A number plate may be acceptable upon XORRA approval.
No classes in 2010.
Spotters/Co-Drivers: Co-drivers will have to also tech with the driver if riding along in race vehicle. Co-driver will tech with helmet on to ensure a min. of 3” head clearance.
Spotters may not be on course during the race other than in designated “spotter zones”. If race vehicle is in need of spotter assistance the spotter must first be cleared by course official to enter race area. This clearance will only be given once the race vehicle has come to a full stop and put into park.
Points/Course times: Race teams that attempt a course and DNF will get full course time assessed. Course marshal has the right to call time on a race team that is deemed un-safe or un-able to continue. Teams that are un-able to make their race time will be assessed an additional .30 seconds on top of full course time. Teams that come to the start line must attempt the course rather than “just pulling through the gates” in order to not be assessed additional DNS 30 seconds.
Series membership fee will be $300.00. PLUS… (There will be an additional $50.00 late fee for entries not paid 2 weeks prior to event date.)
